Last week we had a special visit from our constituent MP, Will Quince!
During his visit to our café, he was met by a very excited group of trainees who gave him a wonderful Level Best welcome. Will’s visit included a tour of our brand new building, where took the opportunity to see our gallery and art installations and spent time talking to trainees.
We also welcomed him into our state-of-the-art fully equipped kitchen, where we’ve recently been baking sourdough bread for the cafe!
The Level Best gallery space, which is currently displaying ‘The Scroll’ exhibition from our soft launch, provided the perfect area for some snapshots of Will and the trainees.
Our manager Alison said: “It was brilliant to have Will visit the café for a tour of the new building. The trainees were incredibly excited to have a special guest visiting, especially Shelby and Sophie, who gave him a tour of the building. We discussed the opportunities we provide for those with learning disabilities and even brainstormed some exciting plans for the future!”
Will Quince commented on visiting the new building; “It was great to meet Alison and the trainees to learn about the fantastic opportunities they create for those with disabilities and learning difficulties. The building has been truly transformed from a former butcher’s house and will be a real asset to the local communities in the city centre.”
